In April 2022, I joined 200 fellow Brand Advocates and lobbied Congress for major cosmetics reform. It had been 82 years since FDR had signed the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the health of America depended on it.
After holding over 60 meetings with members of Congress and their staff in Washington, we helped pass the first federal law since 1938: The Modernization of Cosmetics Reform Act (MoCRA).

Beautycounter is going back to meet with Congress in May 2024 in support of the Safer Beauty Bill Package.
Sponsored by IL Rep. Jan Schakowsky, this package is designed to address critical gaps in cosmetic safety. Including, calls for the disclosure of fragrance and flavor ingredients, a ban on 11 toxic ingredients, and further empowerment of the FDA in the United States.
