In 2018, I was attending a real estate convention in New York and randomly stopped by this cute little shop in SOHO. Once I learned about Beautycounter's mission, I had to get involved. The beauty industry as we knew it was woefully under regulated. At that time, there hadn't been a federal law passed that would regulate the beauty industry since 1938.

WHAT DOES CLEAN MEAN?
As a mother of pre-teen girls, I'm constantly running in circles with their crazy schedules and 3 second spurts of attention. So, I live by the 80/20 rule. I make the best decision
most of the time and choose to let the rest slide.
I didn't have time to do the research, I just want to know that what they put on their bodies is safer and not linked to adverse health effects. I needed a brand that I can trust. Enter Beautycounter.
ADVOCATING FOR A CLEANER FUTURE SINCE 2013
We’ve come a long way since we began our journey almost 10 years ago—we’ve supported the passing of 10 laws, rallied thousands of Consultants to meet with their state officials, and inspired countless people to switch to safer products.
This year, I had a very unique opportunity.
In April 2022, I joined 200 fellow Consultants, and we advocated for cosmetics reform first-hand through meetings with Members of Congress in Washington, DC. It was an opportunity of a lifetime and you can catch the recap on Instagram over at @becounterforgood.
